Tips for learning Romanian words

• Several entries near the top are different forms of the same verb rather than separate vocabulary: "fi" and "este" (to be), "are" and "avea" (to have), "vrea" and "vor" (to want). Learn them as families instead of as isolated words.
• Don't skip the short function words like "nu", "cum", "doar", "chiar", "prea" and "mult" just because they feel abstract next to nouns -- they appear in almost every sentence, so making them automatic pays off faster than memorising rarer nouns.
• When you hit a core action verb such as "spune" (to say), "lua" (to take) or "veni" (to come), build one short spoken or written sentence with it rather than just typing the isolated flashcard answer.
• Notice forms like "du-te", where a pronoun is attached to the verb with a hyphen -- this pattern is common with Romanian commands, so learn to recognise it on sight instead of treating it as one long unfamiliar word.
• When typing answers in Vocab Voyage, use exactly the form shown in the list, so your recall matches the form you will actually meet in sentences.
• Review in short daily sessions rather than long weekly ones: spaced repetition works best when you meet a word again just as it starts to fade.
